If your land is well drained and the soil type is not problematic, our plunge pools can sit on level compacted crusher dust or preferably a 100mm reinforced concrete slab. We recommend all pools sit on a concrete slab to ensure the pools remain level and stable. If the pools are placed on unsuitable soils and not on a level surface this could void your structural warranty.
There are many variables with installation. Is there access for a truck and a crane? Is the ground sloping? What is the soil type? If the pool is going in the ground, is there any pipes or wires under the ground level? Are there overhead wires? Assessment of the site for your pool can be done by an installer or a builder. Reputable Crane Hire company will inspect the site and quote crane hire.
Our pools can be installed by a local builder, pool builder, structural landscaper, owner builder, and in some cases DIY. Your Pool Shop can assist with the plumbing installation.
All pools in Australia require certification/council approval. For your application we provide the engineering details and the form 15. You will need to provide a plan of your land and indicate where the pool and fencing will be placed for your application.
Certifications /applications can be undertaken by the installer or yourself as an owner builder. DIY’s in QLD can make the application if the install is relatively simple. However other states and territories may have differing regulations. Applications can be made directly to some local councils or through a private certifier.
Pool regulations are updated from time to time. Currently, above ground pools must have a dedicated pool complaint gate before it is filled with water (having a ladder and taking it away is not permitted) Above ground pools must be pool complaint in height and non-climbable zones.
Externally our pool shell is 1.62 meters and the average water height is 1.45 meters. We have kept our skimmer box high in design, because pools with lower mounted skimmers look as like they need water added.
We offer the ecoFinish as a standard finish. It is highly durable, great looking in multi choice of colours and can be use above the waterline. Eco Finish is pH neutral this means your maintenance costs are lower when it comes to balancing the pool water.
Vinyl liner is soft to touch and a wide range of colours and patterns with a 12 year warranty. Can be mounted below a waterline tiles, or above the waterline for a highly effective economical finish. Being ph neutral is good also.
Tiles is the more expensive finish. That being said they do add a refined finish to a pool and certainly adds the wow factor
